5 Things Friday

5 things friday
  1. Spending the day with a fab friend and getting the chance to be a voyeur and look at people’s houses as part of the NZ House & Garden Tours 2013. I had two fav houses, one in Mt Vic which was beautiful and so neat to see in real life. However my ultimate fav was in Seatoun, oh my I wish we could have taken photos. I had mentally moved in and was making myself a coffee in the kitchen and reading a book in one of the lounges.
  2. A gorgeous present and card with some awesome words of wisdom from the friend mentioned above.  I loved the message, cos I have been ranting about how I am over waiting for things to happen and I want to make it happen. Thus far it really is working.
  3. Although its officially the first day of Autumn, Summer is still in full force today.
  4. 20 Sleeps to my birthday and I have lots of neat things to look forward too for the month of March.
  5. In the last week we have bought tables and chairs for Beautea HQ and bought equipment (a small fridge, microwave, jug).  Approved a quote to replace the windows and ranchslider.  We are waiting on the plumber (aka the brother in law) to come round and talk to us about the costs and details of installing a toilet and a kitchen sink and drainage. Then the renovation work can begin.

Whats on your list of five today?

Hee hee, maybe the owners won’t notice you curled up in the corner with your coffee and you book :-)
My Friday five are my walk with Vicki, our new couch arriving, making homemade museli, finding my mad cat asleep on top of one of the hens eggs…and coming home to a clean house.

  2. 1. It’s too bad you couldn’t take pictures! I took a home tour like that once in Canada with my mom. I was amazed to see what incredible homes were in our neighbourhood. Not even a shneaky phone picture? So infuriating.
    3. I think it’s crazy to think of the seasons the other way around. Then again, you probably do too!
    5. Oh I hope you are planning to show some progress photos! I do love a room revamp. Exciting times up ahead!

Thank you for the sweet wedding comments! It seems like a distant memory at this point, haha. It was a great day, but it’s weird how you don’t really get to appreciate all the work that’s gone into it. I didn’t get any mulled wine, a minced pie or a wedding favour! Haha.

Oh lots of exciting stuff! Love the sound of the home tours:) mmmm my 5? Txts with Annelie, hearing some wonderful news from a friend, a care parcel from Germany, satay chicken in the slow cooker, and a large vodka and orange before tea:) and that goes to prove that even the crappiest days have some highs – thanks for the reminder:)

Ohh I’d love to go on one of those home tours. Lol at wanting to move in.

My five – attending the wedding of Andres colleague yesterday, having a lot of laughs during the day/night, getting to dance with Andre :-) , looking forward to start “learn to crochet” classes with my friend on Wednesday and thankful for said friend for having my girls while we attended the wedding yesterday.

I am also excited about my birthday month. I don’t think I will do something every day, but definitely a few! My parents have been on one of those Home & Garden tours and said it was amazing. Will add it to my bucket list I think! Was your one a Hospice fundraiser?

I love hearing what you think, please leave a reply.
